Sailing Again

We had a wonderful campout and sailing weekend with the Sea Scouts of Ship 748. We have a Hobi Kat, inflatable boat and kayaks.

They had a very breezy day. So that meant they got to really test the basic skills, they had already learned. They were also able to teach another Troop from our area about Sea Scouts and sailing.

It was a good day for all. Then we went back to the campsite and had fried catfish and hushpuppies for dinner (guys cooked). Our campfire conversation was filled with laughter.
The next day brought no wind to small bands of breeze. So we were back to basic skills and just relaxing on the lake. Plenty of shore side shenanigans were going on. Sand burying, sand castles (kicking over of sand) and plots of revenge (which were thwarted by mom). Yet another good day.

I actually went out on the second day on the Hobi Kat. Bethany and I went out in an inflatable boat and paddled around.
I so enjoy watching my children enjoy themselves and excel.
