Life of a Grandmother

Well, I am preparing for a granddaughter, Ayla (age 8) and grandson, Rayce (age 12) to come for a visit.
The grandson will work with his uncles, Nick (age 20), Nate (age 18) and Ben (age 16) on his Boy Scout rank stuff.
And Ayla will play with her aunt, Bethany (age 9) and cousin, Sarah (age 8) and a few of her other cousins, Jamie (age 7), Kaylee (age 4) and Wesley (age 2 on Monday).
Their mom, Tracy )age ):) will make a quick trip to drop them off and go visit daughter, Jen (almost 29), her dh David and Family, Sydney (age 4), Penelope (age 2) and Maggie Mae (10 weeks). Then she will come back in 4 weeks and pick them up in time to start school.
Life is a whirlwind, some days.

Miss Maggie

This is an update on our blessed granddaughter, Maggie Mae, who was born on May 5th.
She is now 10 weeks old, we are blessed. Of course, my daughter (Maggie's mother) gets the special blessings of being up in the middle of the night, just because.
Maggie is having more awake time (usually in the middle of night) and starting to look around at toys.
We (grandparents and parents) feel so confused. We had been so prepared for her passing and she is doing wonderfully.
So keep the prayers coming and we will be grateful for the time given us.

Life and Its Trials

On May 5th, yet another beautiful granddaughter was born. She is our 15th grandchild. But we are having to adjust and prepare for her leaving this earth. She was born with "full" Trisomy 18; which is a terminally ill condition.
I am being counseled by good friends that this will make me and my daughter stronger, but again it can be hard to see the eternal perspective.
I have lost a son (a full-term stillborn) and it hurts my heart to know that my daughter will, also lose a child.
